There is a main entrance in the front and only a small side-door, because it is believed that Mataji (another name for Ambaji) has forbidden the addition of any other door. Made of white marble with gold cones, the temple was originally built by Nagar Brahmins. The red flag above the small temple dances welcomingly in the wind. The Shakti Peethas are mostly worshiped by tantra practitioners. There are several Jain Pilgrimage centers situated nearby such as Neminathji Temple, Mahavir Swami Temple, Parshwanathji Temple, Sambhavnathji Temple and Shantinathji Temple. Jain Pilgrimage centre of Kumbhariyaji is located right near Ambaji Temple. Navratri and Diwali are the other important festivals.
